News > "Departed" Sequel Still Maybe Happening, If It's Good

This is one of those not really news but kinda big news stories that always comes along. When asked about the status of the rumored "Departed" sequel (and prequel), one of the original film's stars, Mark Wahlberg, says it's still happening. Maybe.

MTV Movies blog quotes Wahlberg as saying:

“They’re [still] developing it,” Wahlberg sighed. “If it can be better than the first, then great. I’ll be all for it. I’m not interested in going for the paycheck. I love ‘Godfather 2’ but, then again, I don’t like ‘Godfather 3.’”

We'll keep our fingers crossed for both the flick and, if all goes well, a new Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch album. I'm ready to take another walk on the wild side, Marky!
