News > 10,000 B.C. Website Launches

Written by David Morgan

The website for Roland Emmerich's 10,000 B.C. has launched and it's… like any other official movie website. I'm sorry, I just haven't been able to get excited about (in IMDb's words) "a prehistoric epic that follows a young mammoth hunter's journey through uncharted territory to secure the future of his tribe." The cast includes Cliff Curtis, Camilla Belle, Steven Strait, and Omar Sharif. Nope, no big draws there either. Emmerich has a hot/cold track record himself and I'm afraid this will fall into the category with Godzilla and The Day After Tomorrow instead of the one with Independence Day and Stargate. But for those looking forward to the March 7th release date, here's something to whet your appetite.

Well i saw the trailer this weekend, but the whole thing seems extremely confused and stupid. First you see that hunter in what appears to be northern Europe, then suddenly he is in the african jungle. Journeys like that would have taken more than a lifetime at that time so going far away and coming back looks bad enough already.

And btw. I think Godzilla was a lot better than Independence Day...
