Sony has commissioned two more sequels in the Anaconda franchise. Even better news: The hero of the film will be played by Mr. David Hasselhoff. He will play a mercenary for hire who goes into the Amazon (played by Romania) to capture a dangerous snake who could provide science with valuable cures to terminal illnesses. The title is Anaconda 3: The Offspring.

The Hoff's supporting cast will include John Rhys-Davies (he's not appearing in Indy 4 but he is appearing in Anaconda 3?!), Crystal Allen, and Zoltan Butuc. The film will appear on the Sci-Fi channel before heading to DVD.

The films (or at least the third one) will be directed by Don E. FauntLeRoy, who directed Jeepers Creepers 2, and has been cinematographer on loads of movies (including some Steven Seagal classics).
