Doug Liman's sci-fi action film Jumper may have been far from a critical favorite, but that didn't keep audiences away during the extended Valentine's Day weekend. Jumper took in $33.9 million giving it a sizable lead over extended dance video Step Up 2 the Streets. Third place went to another new release, family fantasy-adventure The Spiderwick Chronicles, which underperformed a bit, only making $21.4 million.
The only other new release was the romantic dramedy Definitely, Maybe, starring Ryan Reynolds and Abigail Breslin. That picture made $9.69 million, earning fifth place behind last week's winner Fool's Gold.

7. Juno- $4.62m
8. The Bucket List- $4.11m
