A long while back, Moriarty over at Aint-it-Cool News reported that he'd read a script for Jurassic Park 4 written by none other than indy-stalwart John Sayles.  Moriarty raved about the film at the time, mentioning a hidden mountain fortress and dinosaurs trained by the military to carry guns.  Sounded absolutely butt-fucking crazy, but Moriarty claimed that if the script was done justice, the film would be amazing.  

 

Looks like Moriarty was right at least about the plot premise, as Bloody Disgusting is reporting that casting for a film 'about the government who has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes.'  BD is reporting that Laura Dern (Dr. Ellie Satler from the first film) will be returning but Sam Neill (my favorite character from all of the films) will not be coming back.

 

Already the internet is reacting pretty poorly to the news that dinosaurs with guns may be appearing in the film, many calling it 'ridiculous'.  Seriously though, this is a film series about an island where a corporation has brought back dinosaurs from blood found in encased mosquitoes.  I believe at the time, many a people called this ridiculous too.  As long as it is good (which hasn't been a trademark of the JP series so far) I can buy just about any premise, and I'm sure that as soon as pictures of T-Rexs sporting gatling guns start poppin' up on the internet, everything will be just fine.
