Universal's spoof of the classic sci-fi TV show Land of the Lost has cast Danny R McBride opposite Will Ferrell, reports IGN.  The film is centered on "a disgraced paleontologist, his assistant and a macho tour guide who find themselves in a strange world inhabited by dinosaurs, monkey people and reptilian Sleestaks."  Ferrell plays the paleontologist, McBride has signed on to play the assistant, Will.

With appearances in 2007's Hot Rod and The Heartbreak Kid and upcoming roles in Drillbit Taylor, Pineapple Express, and Tropic Thunder, Danny R McBride may well be the next comedy go-to guy.  And I would honestly pay to see Will Ferrell and Danny R McBride contort their faces at each other for an hour and a half so dinosaurs, monkey people, and dinosaur people are just icing on a $100million cake.
