Our friends over at Black20.com have unleashed something terrible on the world. Terrible funny.
The humor website has just posted a new video: a parody of a movie trailer for an action/thriller based on Tetris. Offering a glimpse into the dangerous, highly competitive world of Tetris block piloting, Tetris: The Movie hits all the action notes without getting the theme song stuck in your head.
Directed by Thomas Edward Seymour from the script/concept by Mike O'Gorman, it looks more expensive than it was. Seymour says of the process: "I thought we could pull off the special effects if we made them highly stylized. No 3-D animation was used in this piece. Just models, 2-D animation and green screen. We were going for a Tron/Sin City look."
This one gets a high score bonus from the 'Wad.

But to be honest: If someone had presented this to me as a real trailer for an upcoming movie, i wouldn't have doubted it for a second.
Merchandise for that movie would be really cheap to make...
Next of course there must be the Tetris TV series. Tetris - There's a new block in town!
