News > A Fourth Bourne Movie Set in South America?

Frank Marshall, producer of the first three Jason Bourne movies (among many other fine films), recently revealed to IESB that he, Paul Greengrass, and Matt Damon are planning to shoot the fourth Bourne installment next summer, with a possible release date in 2010. The film is expected to feature an original story, as Robert Ludlum's involvement with the superspy only stretched to the three novels that have already been adapted.

In Marshall's words to IESB:

There was a fourth book written, but it was not by Mr. Ludlum. So we’re probably going to take our own direction and we’re working on what that storyline’s gonna be right now.

Regarding setting, Marshall offered only "South America."

And this only thirteen months after Matt Damon said he was "definitely done with the Bourne thing." In the knowing words of Sean Connery, "Never Say Never Again."

Love the Bournes! I'd like to see a little Damon on Stiles action this time around.
