Editorials > Adam Brody Cast as The Flash?

A few months ago, Adam Brody was named as one of the numerous young celebrities auditioning for George Miller's big screen rendition of Justice League of America. Now, The LATimes is claiming that a "source close to the deal" has told them that Brody has closed negotiations to play scarlet speedster The Flash. Warner Brothers would not confirm the casting as the film has not been green-lit yet.

Brody's Flash will be the Wally West incarnation. West was the teenaged nephew of Barry Allen (also known as the "Silver Age" Flash), who was also inexplicably exposed to electrically charged chemicals and given the ability of super-speed. The film opens with Barry Allen's funeral (it's not a spoiler if it's in the first scene).

The Times also mention that Scott Porter is being rumored to play Superman, Megan Gale may play Wonder Woman, Teresa Palmer may play Talia al Ghul, and Common may play Green Lantern. We also heard the other day that Armie Hammer would be playing Batman, but these casting announcements may have varying degrees of truth to them as none have been officially confirmed yet (that I know of).
