The Wire's Amy Ryan and dependable Greg Kinnear have joined Matt Damon in the cast of Universal's as-yet untitled Iraq War thriller directed by Paul Greengrass, Variety reports.  Filming commenced in Spain today on this production that reteams Greengrass and Damon who rocked hard together on the final two chapters of the Bourne trilogy. Greg Kinnear has signed on to play one of Damon's fellow officers searching for WMDs in Iraq while Amy Ryan will portray a New York Times correspondent investigating the U.S. government's claims of WMDs. Having enjoyed the Bourne films, I expect Greengrass' shooting locations to be pitch-perfect and Greg Kinnear tends to deliver an enjoyable performance.  Amy Ryan is a newcomer to me, but she should have opportunity to prove herself by getting in the way of the military machine.
