Following United Artists' lead, Harvey and Bob Weinstein are considering a proposal given to them by the Writers Guild of America. Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that a deal "could be imminent." This could be another big victory for the striking writers as it would allow them to continue working on projects already in development. Naturally this would also be to the advantage of the Weinsteins and any other small studios who decide to break ranks with the majors and get their films out of the gate.
