The Shield actor Michael Chiklis has been cast as the US Secretary of Defense in DJ Caruso's terrorism thriller Eagle-Eye. The film features Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan as a slacker and single mother, respectively, who form an unlikely alliance when they are framed as terrorists who are plotting to assassinate a political figure. Billy Bob Thornton, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Azizi and Anthony Mackie round out the cast. Hillary Seitz wrote the most recent draft of the screenplay, and production expects to wrap some time in February.
