MGM Pictures, in conjunction with United Artists, will be releasing Valkyrie on December 26th.

Bryan Singer's film is based on the true story of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, played by Tom Cruise, who serves Germany but hopes to stop Hitler before he destroys their beloved country and all of Europe.

The screenplay was written by Christopher McQuarrie, who'd previously penned Singer's The Usual Suspects.

Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Carice van Houten, Thomas Kretschmann, Eddie Izzard, Christian Berkel and Terence Stamp also star.
