Dragon Wars or D-Wars, coulda’ been D-Warz. That’d be cool too. It’s a Korean movie that made it to our shores. Remember The Host? That movie was rad. Well, if you’ve seen that and liked it then you might wanna see this too. It’s kinda-sorta similar. It has monsters.

I guess cheap CGI finally got to Korea cause they seem to love the stuff like crazy. There are a million CGI scenes in this. Dragons, monsters, Blackhawk Gun Ships, evil knights. You name it and they made it on a computer. That’s cool though. You see lots of the dragons. They didn’t skimp in that department.

Ok, the story isn’t that good and the acting is poor but if you go in knowing that and just want to see some monsters do battle then this is the movie for you. I’d recommend that you stay away cause it is so poor at points but the monsters are cool and they’d prolly lose some of the coolness on the television. Maybe not on a big ass HDTV or whatever but on a standard little deal it’d look a little cheap prolly. It’s up to you. I’d say no just to save the cash but if you’re into in a big way then maybe check it out at a matinée or something.

The deal is that every 500 years dragons come back to the earth and look for a certain chick. She has a tattoo shaped like a dragon. Anyhow, they have to find this chick and kill her. I guess if they do so then they get to rule the planet or something. It was sort of vague to me.

I might not have been paying close enough attention. I was sort of drifting in and out. These kids next to me kept talking and I was listening to them a little too closely. Teenagers have cool problems. I guess one of them’s boyfriends was hanging out with some other chick who was a skank or something. I wonder why these chicks came to D-Wars anyway? Doesn’t seem like their sort of thing.

I don’t really feel like looking up the names of the actors but I’ll tell you things that they were also in and you can figure it out. Ok, there was the dude who manages the warehouse on the American version of The Office. The black guy. He was the sidekick to the kid from Roswell, remember that TV show? Anyway he was like, the main guy on that. He had longer hair in this though. Oh, and Robert Forester was in it too. I know him by name cause he was AWESOME in Jackie Brown. That’s an underrated movie for sure.

Well, D-Warz. It’s a Korean monster movie. Heavy on CGI monsters and low on everything else.

Hey, if you liked this and want a little more of this kinda junk then take a peek at www.iseerobots.com it’s the third most important site on the internet behind google and wikipedia.
