Franklyn is set in an alternate London future where the main character "Preest is a masked vigilante detective, searching for his nemesis on the streets of Meanwhile City." Preest is played by Ryan Phillipe, star of titles such as Stop-Loss and Breach, who really hasn't played any sci-fi / thriller roles that I can think of. The trailer is very dark and ominous, it resembles a blend of V for Vendetta and Dark Knight. Let us know what you think.

I felt like it put Ryan back into Cruel Intentions type mood again. Which pushed him but kinda kept him on level.
Its interesting all the same. I think comparing it to Dark Knight is a bit of a stretch.....but I see the V for Vendetta in it.
