Jared Hess' debut film Napoleon Dynamite (love it or hate it) did incredible business for an independent film. His Jack Black vehicle Nacho Libre was not so well-liked by audiences and critics. His third at bat, according to JoBlo will be a film called Gentlemen Broncos, and will tell the story of a high school outcast who aspires to be a fantasy author. The protagonist attends a fantasy convention only to discover that noted author Ronald Chevalier, in desperate need of ideas, has completely ripped off the student's novel Yeast Lords.
Hess has reportedly written the script with his wife Jerusha Hess (co-writer of his first two films) and Mike White (screenwriter of Orange County, School of Rock) is producing. They're planning to begin production in Utah this March. Much luck to the Hesses as they try to get their groove back (love their groove or hate it).
