Color us surprised, but you mean people didn't want to be James Bond? Sure, I can understand how the pressure to perform witty comebacks while committing mass murder and orchestrating explosions could be difficult, but you have to grow into it. But the AP runs a story that the British spy organization wants to "shed" the image made famous by Bond and focus on "more minorities, women."

MI6 is trying to shed its James Bond-inspired image, something the recruiter said gave others a "a false impression of what working for the organization is actually like.

"It does tend to turn up quite a lot of thrill seekers and fantasists, and we're really not interested in them," he said. 

Oh.

Because spies don't really swill martinis, drive Aston Martins, pilot jet packs, battle voodoo priests, cause millions in collateral damage and magically change their appearance six times during their life like Doctor Who?  Shocking!
