There was some speculation about two months ago that Jason Reitman (Juno, Thank You for Smoking) would direct Diablo Cody's (Juno) next script as well. Now it seems that he'll be relegating himself to producing while Karyn Kusama takes the reigns. You may have seen Kusama's name during the credits of Aeon Flux, Girlfight, or one episode of The L Word, but so far that's about all she's done.

Variety describes the film as a "quirky comedic thriller" about "a cheerleader in a sleepy town whose perfect life goes haywire when she becomes possessed and begins killing the young men in town who lust after her." Megan Fox, who has become a near-household name since her star-making turn in Transformers, will play that cheerleader.

It's true that Kusama doesn't have the greatest track record at this point, but if she at least knows where to put her camera, she'll be fine working under the guidance of the "talents of the hour" Reitman and Cody.
