Lauren Ambrose, perhaps best known for her role of Claire in Six Feet Under, will provide the voice of KW for Spike Jonze's adaptation of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the role was originally given to Michelle Williams but the filmmakers eventually decided that her voice was not close enough to what they had originally envisioned. For those not familiar with Sendak's tale (people who didn't have childhoods), a young boy named Max finds himself in a world of strange creatures and is made their king by KW and co.
