Darnell Martin's "Cadillac Records" has picked up two more stars to play figures in 20th century musical history. Namely, hip hop artist Mos Def will play rock 'n roll icon Chuck Berry while Gabrielle Union will play Geneva Wade, the woman who would go on to marry Chicago blues master Muddy Waters. Adrien Brody, Beyonce Knowles, and Jeffrey Wright also star as Leonard Chess, Etta James, and Waters respectively. According to Variety, filming has already begun in New Jersey on a film that "charts sex, violence and the civil rights movement along with the music biz in 1950s Chicago."
