And another comic goes straight to feature development.  Writer/Director John Mostow
(Terminator 3, U-571) is teaming with Virgin Comics to develop a recently (today) released graphic
novel for the big screen.

The Megas graphic novel "presupposes an America that has a ruling class called the Megas, for whom there is a special set of laws. A detective who believes in the monarchy rethinks his position
after investigating a crime that reveals ugly truths about the elite society." (Variety) The GN was published by Virgin based on an idea by Mostow.

Superheroes as royalty with something to hide.  Nothing ground-breaking, but it could be interesting.  The adaptation will be shopped around Hollywood in the coming weeks.

Mostow's next project is another comics adaptation, The Surrogates from Disney, that stars Bruce Willis.  Production on that project starts in eight weeks.
