If you enjoyed “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan” (which included pretty much anybody with a pulse), “Brüno” will probably be right up your ally.

The film, which uses the same ‘movie where the people in it don’t know they’re in a movie’ premise that made “Borat” such a huge success, looks very, very satisfying. For those unfamiliar with the character of Bruno, he’s a homosexual Austrian journalist who has a bad habit of reporting on places where his, um, flamboyant lifestyle is not very welcomed (i.e. a neo-Nazi rock concert, a Christian rock concert, the state of Alabama). And similar to his Kazakhstani counterpart Borat, hilarity always ensues, and this trailer is no exception.

My only beef is that this film looks significantly scripted, but I guess that’s understandable considering the huge surge in popularity for Cohen following the release of Borat. But hey, funny’s funny, no matter how it’s made. And this shit looks funny. Enjoy.
