On First FX Shot of the New USS Enterprise at 01/27/2008 11:17pm
Just to echo what kankuro414 said, this design was actually developed by Gabe Koerner. I think the first image appeared in the Star Trek: 2007 Ships of the Line Calendar, which was released toward the end of 2006. Here are links to a couple of articles about the error in the identity of the ship.

In an article posted on January 27, 2008, Gabe told the TrekWeb message board that:
"I am not involved in Paramount/Bad Robot Star Trek feature film directed by J.J. Abrams in any way, material or immaterial."
"My speculative designs and artwork have been mistaken for official production art because they share in concept the design assignments to the art department of this film."
"However, they are not, nor planned to be, nor ever planned to be, used by the production as official redesigned interpretations of Star Trek spacecraft, and there are not plans for this to change."
