On Amanda's Back for Saw VI! at 03/24 3:22pm

As gory as Saw movies are, the Japanese have been making these for decades with much better story lines. If you like Saw try getting some Japanese films on your Netflix queue, you can even start with Tokyo Gore Police. I stopped watching the Saw series after part 3, since the foreign films are much better.

On Bryan Singer eyeing hot revenge thriller project starring Mark Wahlberg at 03/24 3:19pm

The vigilante kick is about to jump the shark, once a Singer vigilante movie is released. How many scripts, stories, characters can this director ruin? If I was the producer to The Prisoners, I would need Singer to direct another Punisher (vigilante character that constantly fails at the BO) movie and make it successful before I would even consider him.

On Young Jeff Bridges in Tron 2.0 at 02/04 3:27pm

Can we get this released in digital 3-D?

On Christian Bale Blow-Up Remix at 02/04 3:24pm

You download this for free at http://www.revolucian.com/BaleOut-Download.html, but when you go to the page make sure to block out the right half side of the page - its NSFL (not safe for life).

On Al Pacino set for 'King Lear' at 02/04 10:39am

How is a Cuban immigrant going to play a European king? Can't Hollywood find new faces to play characters?

On Mutant Chronicles One-Sheet at 02/04 10:38am

Why doesn't Hellboy (Ron Pearlman) just put on his suit and the Punisher (Tom Jane) put on his skull shirt? They could probably make it a more interesting movie.

On Spike Lee to Produce 'Now the Hell Will Start' at 02/04 10:35am

I thought the title was about Obama's inauguration.

On Jackie Chan in Negotiations for 'The Karate Kid' at 01/14 2:11pm

I agree, a Chinese person cast as a Japanese person and a cute little kid with Orphan Annie hair sounds like a Little Rascals skit. As a Hollywood feature film release... might as well put Chris Tucker as the kid, it's going to unfortunately (b/c The Karate Kid is a classic and shouldn't be remade) bomb. Maybe if the director was Michael Bay, it could've been saved, he would throw in some explosions and Aerosmith-like theme music

On Michael Bay vs McG at 01/13 6:28pm

Could be worse - Bryan Singer or Brett Ratner could be directing these movies. I wish Michael Bay could remake Superman Returns, X-Men, etc, etc every other thing B&B wrecked.

On Jimmy Hayward to Direct Jonah Hex at 01/06 3:47pm

Great a Dr.Seuss kid's movie director. At least its not Bryan Singer, so it won't be utterly and completely ruined.

On Red Band Trailer for 'Crank: High Voltage' at 01/06 3:44pm

The video was removed. Can you re-post with a working video? Thanks.

On Keanu Reeves eyes 'Cowboy Bebop' at 12/22/2008 8:59pm

Dude, if you're really me, what number am I thinking?

On I Am Legend Prequel at 12/08/2008 4:18pm

I'm so glad I Am Legend was such a let down, I won't have to waste any money going to the prequel. Woohoo!

On No Crane Kick for Jaden Smith in 'Karate Kid' Remake at 12/08/2008 4:11pm

Couldn't they just make this a Karate Kid 4 or maybe Tae Kwon Do Kid? Karate Kid doesn't need a remake - although Never Back Down was pretty close to being a remake for the 2000's, it could've been titled UFC Kid.

I have a question - why do they keep casting an androgynous Karate Kid?

On Beverly Hills Cop IV Plot at 12/02/2008 10:43am

Yes a new Beverly Hills Cop movie, this can't go wrong. Oh what's that... who's directing it? Darn, that guy ruined the Rush Hour franchise, audiences just can't win anymore.

On Punisher Ray Stevenson tapped for 'Book of Eli' at 12/02/2008 10:41am

No, Punisher don't kill the Librarian!!! Is this a comedy? Books can be copied or scanned. No need to risk your life protecting one. This sounds as ridiculous as dancing penquins. I thought Will Smith was going to save humanity, not the American Gangster.

On 'House of Night' acquired at 11/20/2008 11:57am

Is this a joke? It's a joke, right? C'mon now.

On Talks Underway for 'Old Boy' Scribe at 11/20/2008 11:55am

Just noticed they are re-writing it, for what, it just came out 5 years ago its not from another decade.........

On Talks Underway for 'Old Boy' Scribe at 11/20/2008 11:54am

Can Hollywood come up with anything original anymore? The Korean version doesn't need a remake its pretty sweet as it is, it'll be interesting to see how Hollywood changes it (or removes the more edgy material) for the US audience. Will Smith wouldn't do this character if the plots & sub-plots are the same as the original.

On Wheels are in motion for a Twilight franchise at 11/14/2008 11:15am

Sounds kind of like True Blood (on HBO) and isn't there an already super popular and huge fan base following of Anne Rice's series on Lestat? Do we really want to see Gossip Girl meets Lost Boys in a trilogy? Add this to another Apocalypse movie (2012) to "what was Hollywood thinking", let's see something original maybe - just once for America, please? I've loaded up my Netflix queue with foreign films (Japanese, Korean, Russian, Chinese, French, etc) in a desperate attempt to watch original films.
