On THE DARK KNIGHT at 07/20/2008 3:54pm

"this is supposed to be for people to write and have fun ."

No, this is supposed to be for people who understand films to write about films. Not for you to post your poorly-written opinions.

"no matter how bad the writing or non sensical the theme"

How likely for someone who writes poorly to defend the absurd notion that bad writing should be equally as respected as good writing. You're right though, they should update the trailors.

drewskins, FTW.

On Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to Play The Tooth Fairy at 02/27/2008 5:17pm

lordmaul, your evaluation of David's English is like The Rock's acting.

On "The Hottie and the Nottie" proves the nonexistence of God at 02/11/2008 6:58pm

fenrir, with all due respect, I think you've missed the point.

filmwad isn't exactly a website garnering so much internet traffic, much less public light, that this editorial is going to give it publicity. It's just meant to be funny. The longwindedness is part of that.

On "The Hottie and the Nottie" proves the nonexistence of God at 02/08/2008 5:13pm

Brilliant.

On Doomsday Trailer Online at 01/16/2008 04:09am

This is a tongue-in-cheek comedy, yes?

On Conan franchise is baaaaack!! at 01/11/2008 3:51pm

Agreed. Cena? GTFO.

On Filmwad Breaks it Down: Monday, December 17 at 12/17/2007 4:38pm

The 8 minute sequence in the front of I Am Legend in IMAX was probably the greatest thing in video form I've ever seen in my life. And I've seen Break In 2: Electric Bugaloo.

On Steve Norrington to Direct Clash of the Titans Remake at 12/14/2007 10:14am

LXG + Blade = NOT CLASH OF THE TITANS PLEASE OH GOD NO NOT THAT

On Jake Gyllenhaal to Play Joe Namath at 11/28/2007 5:24pm

Did you see Jarhead? JG can actually get pretty buff. Either way, I think he's an alright choice. At the very least, he looks the part.

On Roth Discusses the Dangers of "Stoned Zombies" in his Upcoming Trailer Trash at 10/18/2007 10:38pm

Exactly. That's why all remakes are pure gold.

On The New 10,000 B.C. Poster! at 10/05/2007 5:37pm

Try not to take offense to this - I think your words to Roland here are pretty funny, at the very least, but you should really make sure you know how to use punctuation, specifically in regard to commas. I'm no fan of grammar Nazis, but I lose a certain amount of respect for any editorial-writing institution when its writers have clear misunderstandings about the vernacular. Any article can seem less professional.

On Today's Filmwad Rant: Dear Movies, Realistic Depictions of Health Care Please? at 09/29/2007 00:55am

Worst. Post. Ever.

Srsly.

On Star Trek Rumors for Casting of Kirk and Scotty at 09/27/2007 8:17pm

Give me Fillion or give me death.

On Watchmen production diary begins at 09/26/2007 11:11am

Awesome.

On The Rock: Up for Captain Marvel AND Black Adam in Shazam at 09/25/2007 2:31pm

Absolutely. A surprisingly talented actor, and extremely charismatic personality. I'm all for this.

On FilmWad Breaks it Down: Monday September 24 at 09/24/2007 6:02pm

the Escape from New York remake*

On FilmWad Breaks it Down: Monday September 24 at 09/24/2007 6:02pm

In defense of the reply: Yes, you are correct, Butler is NOT Punisher. OP, where'd you get your info? It's Stevenson.

In defense of the point the OP was making: Butler IS playing Snake in the Escape from New York, which is arguably very similar to the Punisher, and gets the same point across.

On Top 10 Screenwriting Tips at 09/17/2007 09:06am

Why wouldn't I sit through the most badass, chest-hair inducing, blood-splattering movie ever 9 times?

I guess it depends on the way you look at it. 300's absurdity was what made it awesome. I don't think Watchmen could be in better hands. At the very least, Snyder cares about preserving the story.

On Top 10 Screenwriting Tips at 09/16/2007 6:59pm

sakulmada, wow. Yes, the article was copied from another website. He still wrote the two bookending sentences. Don't bother chiming in if you're going to make a fool of yourself. "(that's right, he didn't write these)" - that's gold. RELLIY? HE DDINT?! We were having a perfectly legitimate battle before you came in to show everyone your helmet.

I know it can be hard to read sometimes, but...no, wait, it's actually quite easy to read this, assuming your native language is English. I hate to be two-timing on the grammar card, but you might want to pull out the old Hooked on Phonics yourself.

But seriously, OP, what's your gripe with Snyder?

On Top 10 Screenwriting Tips at 09/15/2007 11:24am

Evade!
