MTV is in the process of remaking 1975's The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The two-hour remake will still use the original screenplay, but may have new and original music. While a timeline has not been established, the executive producer of the original, Lou Adler, states, "I'd like to see it shown a year from this coming Halloween, but that's up to MTV."

The original Picture Show has been such a cult classic that it has grossed $140 million over the last 30 years, thanks to midnight screenings of the film attended by original fans and youthful newcomers.
