Expect howls.  Mark Romanek quit the Benicio del Toro-starring remake of The Wolfman he was helming for Universal Pictures.  The director of dark music videos and One Hour Photo left the project last night due to concerns with the budget, $100 million was apparently not enough to cover his schedule, Deadlline Hollywood reports.

That void will be filled quickly, no doubt, but $100 million seems like a decent amount of play money to me.  I guess Romanek just couldn't bear to shoot the remake without a werewolf covered in real diamonds.  How long before he finds a studio to fund his pictures after this?
