Editorials > Simon Pegg? Scotty. John Cho? He's Sulu.

J.J. Abrams' Star Trek XI continues to grow and expand with more cult casting. This time, Simon Pegg and John Cho are now attached to play Scotty and Sulu respectively.

The main cast now being Zachary Quinto (Spock), Zoe Saldina (Uhura), Anton Yelchin (Chekov) and dastardly villain Eric Bana (Nero). The Hollywood Reporter has now upped its' previous rumor on Chris Pine's casting to being "in talks."

They also drop that three roles have yet to be filled: Capt. Christopher Pike, original Enterprise captain best known from the original series as "One flash for yes, two flashes for no," and Kirk's parents. Huh.

THR also claims that the flim follows the early days of the Enterprise and not the odd reimagining/retcon alternate universe that has been thrown around the rumor mill.

Now all we need are some green-skinned aliens, the "Ah AHHHHHH" soundtrack in a trailer and some viral websites. Then we'll be set, J. J.

I wonder if he's gonna have to gain weight for the role.
