Rachel Taylor, whose breakout role in Transformers and starring role in Shutter has made her a hot commodity in Hollywood, will be starring in the upcoming Splinterheads.

The story, a carnival comedy (carnedy?), has her cast as a carnie con artist who pulls one over on a gullible slacker (played by Thomas Middleditch), but ends up forming a relationship with him. The film also stars Christopher McDonald and Lea Thompson.

Production is due to begin in August, and will be produced under the Atlantic Pictures banner.
