Tim Allen has successfully pitched an idea to Disney for a movie called Brothers, which he will write with Matthew Carrol (perhaps the executive producer of Allen's The Shaggy Dog, but there are several Matt Carrolls listed on IMDb). Variety reports that the story concerns a pair of adopted brothers of different races who are framed for a crime and must team up, presumably to clear their name. Oh great, racial jokes from a middle-aged white guy's point of view. This should be uncomfortable.

This is more evidence to our theory that there's some sort of bizarre, undesirable, Tim Allen renaissance going on.
