Looks like Chris Pine will not be the only new James T. Kirk in town. 11 year-old Jimmy Bennett has been cast as young Kirk in J.J. Abrams's Star Trek prequel film. He joins a cast that so far includes Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Eric Bana, Winona Ryder, Tyler Perry, Ben Cross, Jennifer Morrison, Leonard Nimoy and more. Still unaccounted for is the original Kirk, William Shatner, who at this point seems unlikely to appear.
Bennett has appeared in such films as Poseidon, Evan Almighty, and Firewall among several others.
